Bobbie Daugherty and Andi Riggs

About Us

Bobbie Daugherty, Owner

Bobbie graduated with a Bachelors of Science in business management from Oklahoma State University in 1982. Bobbie worked part-time at a local day care center as a young college student. She also worked during the summer at an infant center in southern California under the supervision of her mother, who was the director. For the past seven years, Bobbie has worked as a fitness instructor and a National Certified Personal Trainer at Body Works and Gym One, respectively.

She is the mother of four and the grandmother of one. Bobbie and her husband of 30 years, Lonnie, have lived in Stillwater since 1977. Bobbie was a stay-at-home mom for 18 years.  She worked for five years as a church nursery coordinator and volunteered many hours in the children's ministry at her church. She has also been active in the PTA at Stillwater’s secondary school, and held several leadership positions in Richmond Parent Teacher Support Group.

It has been her dream to open a child care center but never was fully committed to taking on the challenge alone. Bobbie feels blessed to partner with her daughter, Andi, in providing Stillwater with the highest quality child care available. She recently completed a semester at Northern Oklahoma College in child development classes and is working toward the gold-level Child Care Director's Credential for the State of Oklahoma.

 Andi Riggs, Owner

Andi grew up in Stillwater, Okla. She earned a bachelor's in radiation therapy from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She worked at the Stillwater Cancer Center as a radiation therapist for two years before getting married and moving to Edmond, Okla. She has worked at Cancer Care Associates in Oklahoma city as a radiation therapist for four years.

In January 2010, Andi and husband, Jason, were blessed with their first child, Oliver Alan Riggs. He is the light of their lives and has brought more joy than they ever thought was possible. At 2-months-old, Oliver was diagnosed with Down syndrome. Since then, Andi and Oliver have worked with therapists to encourage Oliver’s physical, cognitive and social development.

Andi loved learning about children's developmental needs through Oliver and found it fascinating that the adults in a child's life can encourage and motivate a child to learn and develop. She now has a second son, Theodore who is a lovable, energetic and curious 7 year old.  Andi has a heart for every child and is passionate about the care she provides. She completed classes at Northern Oklahoma College in early childhood education to learn how to develop curriculum and implement a quality childcare center. She also holds her master teacher credentials and directors credentials.
